Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup plain yogurt Greek yogurt can be used for a thicker texture.
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup milk Any type of milk can be used.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Add-ins
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts Almonds or walnuts work well.
  • 1/2 cup dried fruit Raisins or cranberries are great options.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine all dry ingredients and mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together all wet ingredients until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped nuts and dried fruit.
Baking
  1. Spread the mixture evenly in the greased baking dish.
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  3. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Cut into bars and serve.

Notes

These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week. They also freeze well for longer storage.
