Ingredients
  

Coffee Base
  • 1 cup coarse ground coffee Use high-quality coffee beans
  • 4 cups cold water Filtered water is preferred
Vanilla Syrup
  • 1 cup granulated sugar For sweetness
  • 1 cup water To dissolve the sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Pure vanilla extract recommended
Serving
  • 1 cup ice For serving
  • 1 cup milk or cream Optional, for creaminess

Method
 

Prepare Cold Brew
  1. In a cold brew coffee maker, combine the coarse ground coffee and cold water. Stir gently to ensure all coffee grounds are saturated.
  2. Cover and let steep in the refrigerator for 12 to 24 hours, depending on your desired strength.
  3. After steeping, strain the coffee through a fine mesh sieve or coffee filter to remove the grounds.
Make Vanilla Syrup
  1. In a saucepan, combine granulated sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract. Let cool before using.
Serve
  1. Fill a glass with ice and pour in the cold brew coffee to about 2/3 full.
  2. Add vanilla syrup to taste and stir well. If desired, top with milk or cream.
