Ingredients
  

Base
  • 8 slices cucumber sliced into rounds
  • 8 slices rye bread cut into small squares or rounds
Topping
  • 200 grams smoked salmon thinly sliced
  • 100 grams cream cheese softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill chopped
  • 1 tablespoon capers drained
  • 1 lemon zest for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Base
  1. Place the cucumber rounds on a serving platter.
  2. Top each cucumber round with a small dollop of cream cheese.
  3. Alternatively, place the rye bread squares on the platter.
Assemble the Canapes
  1. Layer a slice of smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese.
  2. Sprinkle chopped dill and capers over the salmon.
  3. Garnish with lemon zest for added flavor.
Serve
  1. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
