- Start by bringing a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.
- Add your favorite pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the shrimp and sauté for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- Toss in minced garlic during the last minute of cooking the shrimp. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Drain the pasta, reserving a bit of pasta water. Add the pasta directly into the skillet with the shrimp, then mix together gently.
- Sprinkle salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes over the shrimp and pasta mixture. Toss everything well.
- Optional: Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice for brightness.
