Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 pounds pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
Dry Rub
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
Barbecue Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce store-bought or homemade

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs for better flavor and tenderness.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together the dry rub ingredients thoroughly.
  4. Rub the dry mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
Cook the Ribs
  1. Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on the grill.
  2. Cook for 2.5 to 3 hours, maintaining a consistent temperature.
  3. After cooking, remove the ribs from the foil and brush with barbecue sauce.
  4. Return the ribs to the grill and cook for an additional 30 minutes, basting with more sauce every 10 minutes.
Serve
  1. Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.

Notes
