Ingredients
  

Waffle Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk can substitute with almond milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup for drizzling
  • 1/2 cup fresh berries strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream optional

Method
 

Prepare the Batter
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, mix the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
Cook the Waffles
  1. Preheat the mini waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  2. Lightly grease the waffle maker with non-stick spray or butter.
  3. Pour a small amount of batter onto the center of the waffle maker and close the lid.
  4. Cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until golden brown. Repeat with the remaining batter.
Serve
  1. Serve the mini waffle bites warm with maple syrup, fresh berries, and whipped cream if desired.
