  • 4 medium onions peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup butter unsalted
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped for garnish

Method
 

Cooking the Onions
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add the quartered onions and cook for about 15 minutes until tender.
  2. Drain the onions in a colander and set aside.
Making Garlic Butter Sauce
  1. In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Return the cooked onions to the pot, season with salt and pepper, and toss to coat in the garlic butter.
Serving
  1. Transfer the garlic butter onions to a serving dish and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
