  • 4 medium onions peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup butter unsalted
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt adjust to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil and add the salt.
  2. Add the quartered onions to the boiling water and cook for about 15 minutes until tender.
  3. While the onions are boiling, melt the butter in a separate pan over medium heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Once the onions are tender, drain them in a colander and return them to the pot.
  6. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the drained onions and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Season with black pepper and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
