Ingredients
  

Dip Base
  • 2 cups Sour Cream
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
Onion Mixture
  • 2 medium Yellow Onions sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Butter for caramelizing
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar to enhance caramelization
Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Chives chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Caramelize Onions
  1. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, salt, and sugar.
  2. Cook the onions, stirring occasionally, until they are golden brown and caramelized, about 25 minutes.
Mix Dip
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the sour cream and mayonnaise.
  2. Add the caramelized onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper. Mix well until combined.
  3. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
Serve
  1. Garnish with chopped chives and serve with chips or vegetables.
