Ingredients
  

Steak
  • 2 pounds Flat Iron Steak Trimmed of excess fat
Marinade
  • 1/4 cup Olive Oil Extra virgin
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce Low sodium preferred
  • 2 tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon Salt To taste

Method
 

Marinate the Steak
  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt.
  2. Place the flat iron steak in a resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over it. Seal the bag and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
Cook the Steak
  1. Preheat the grill to high heat.
  2. Remove the steak from the marinade and let it come to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
  3. Grill the steak for about 6-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 130°F (54°C).
  4. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  5. Slice against the grain and serve.
