Prepare the Casserole

- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the drained corn and black beans, mixing well.
- In a mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, and shredded cheese. Mix until smooth.
- Add the sauce mixture to the skillet and stir until everything is well combined.
- Transfer the mixture to a casserole dish and spread evenly.
- Top with tater tots, arranging them in a single layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
