Corned Beef Sandwiches

Ingredients
  

Sandwich Ingredients
  • 8 slices Rye bread
  • 1 pound Corned beef thinly sliced
  • 8 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup Sauerkraut drained
  • 1/4 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 2 tablespoons Butter softened

Method
 

Assemble Sandwiches
  1. Spread butter on one side of each slice of rye bread.
  2. On the unbuttered side of four slices, layer corned beef, Swiss cheese, and sauerkraut.
  3. Drizzle Thousand Island dressing over the sauerkraut.
  4. Top with the remaining slices of bread, buttered side facing out.
Cook Sandwiches
  1. Heat a pan over medium heat.
  2. Place the sandwiches in the pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  3. Remove from the pan, slice in half, and serve warm.
