Ingredients
  

Churro Dough
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter cut into pieces
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
For Frying
  • 4 cups vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in flour until mixture forms a ball.
  3. Allow to cool slightly, then mix in egg and vanilla until smooth.
Fry the Churro Bites
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Transfer dough to a pastry bag fitted with a star tip.
  3. Pipe small bites into hot oil, frying until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Coat with Cinnamon Sugar
  1. In a bowl, mix sugar and cinnamon. Toss warm churro bites in the mixture until coated.
