Prepare the Onions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions, salt, and pepper. Sauté until onions are caramelized, about 15 minutes.
Mix Cheese Ingredients
- In a mixing bowl, combine cheddar cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, milk, garlic powder, and thyme. Mix until smooth.
Combine and Bake
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a baking dish, layer the caramelized onions and cheese mixture. Top with breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese mixed with melted butter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until bubbly and golden brown on top.
