Blueberry Jam Ingredients
  • 4 cups fresh blueberries washed and stems removed
  • 1 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon pectin optional for thicker jam

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large saucepan, combine the blueberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Stir gently to mix.
  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat until it starts to boil, stirring frequently.
  3. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.
  4. If using pectin, add it according to package instructions during the last 5 minutes of cooking.
  5. Remove from heat and let the jam cool slightly before transferring to sterilized mason jars.
  6. Seal the jars and let them cool completely at room temperature before refrigerating.
