Ingredients
  

Beef Ribs
  • 4 pounds beef ribs preferably bone-in
Dry Rub
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional for heat
Sauce
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a small bowl, mix together all the dry rub ingredients.
  3. Rub the mixture generously over the beef ribs.
Cooking
  1. Place the ribs in a baking dish and cover tightly with aluminum foil.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 3 hours.
  3. Remove the foil and brush the ribs with barbecue sauce.
  4. Return to the oven and bake for an additional hour, uncovered, until tender.
  5. Check the internal temperature; it should reach at least 190°F (88°C) for optimal tenderness.
Serving
  1. Let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  2. Serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.

Notes

For best results, marinate the ribs with the dry rub overnight.
